Services

Shivam Medicare offers consultation, diagnostics, and ongoing care across general medicine, diabetes, thyroid and endocrine conditions, and physician-led cardiac care.

General Medicine

Day-to-day medical care for adults — fever, cough, infection, gastrointestinal issues, hypertension, lipid management, headaches, body pains, and the ordinary problems that bring you to a family physician. We also coordinate ongoing care for long-standing conditions and review medicines you may already be on.

Diabetes care

Diabetes is when your blood glucose — also called blood sugar — runs higher than it should. Left unattended it quietly damages the eyes, kidneys, nerves, and heart. Caught early and managed well, most patients live full lives with very few restrictions.

The clinic looks after:

  • Type 1 (insulin-dependent) diabetes
  • Type 2 (non-insulin-dependent) diabetes
  • Gestational diabetes (in pregnancy)
  • Pre-diabetes — sugars trending up but not yet diabetic

What care looks like, in practice:

  • Regular HbA1c, fasting and post-meal sugar review
  • Insulin titration and pen-injection training where needed
  • Glucometer counselling — how to test, when, what the numbers mean
  • Diet and exercise plans built around your routine, not against it
  • Watching for kidney, eye, foot and nerve complications

Common symptoms to bring up with us: feeling very thirsty, urinating often, feeling very hungry, tiring quickly, losing weight without trying, slow-healing sores, dry itchy skin, pins-and-needles in the feet, or blurry eyesight.

Thyroid & Endocrine care

The thyroid is a small gland in the neck that sets the pace for much of the body — energy, weight, mood, sleep, periods, even cholesterol. When it slows down (hypothyroidism) or speeds up (hyperthyroidism), the symptoms often look like everyday tiredness and get missed for years. A simple blood test usually finds it.

We evaluate and treat:

  • Hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism
  • Thyroid nodules, cysts, and concerns for malignancy
  • Goitre and autoimmune thyroid disease — Hashimoto’s and Graves’
  • Thyroid concerns during pregnancy
  • Hyperparathyroidism and related hormonal imbalances

Common signs worth a visit:

  • Fatigue and unexplained weight changes
  • Persistent dry skin, brittle hair or nails
  • Irregular periods or unexplained fertility difficulty
  • Mood changes — anxiety or low mood that doesn’t lift with treatment
  • Cholesterol that won’t come down despite effort
  • Sleep disruption or persistent constipation

Physician-led cardiac care

Many heart problems show up first as everyday symptoms — breathlessness on climbing stairs, mild chest discomfort, a racing pulse, swelling at the ankles. A family physician is often the first point of contact for these, and most of them turn out to be manageable when caught early.

The clinic addresses:

  • Hypertension — diagnosis, control, long-term follow-up
  • Lipid management — cholesterol and related risk factors
  • Post-heart-attack care — medications, lifestyle, follow-up
  • Heart-rhythm concerns — palpitations, irregular pulse
  • Coronary artery disease management
  • Circulation problems and related complaints
  • Risk-factor counselling for those with a family history

On-site diagnostic equipment includes ECG (12-lead), treadmill stress test, and Holter monitor for 24- or 48-hour rhythm recording. 2D echocardiography is available on appointment basis at the clinic.

Clinic facilities

  • Five beds, including one private AC room for short-stay observation
  • Multi-channel ECG
  • Glucometer-based blood sugar monitoring
  • On-site laboratory sample collection
  • Computerised treatment records, so your history travels with you
  • 2D Echo on appointment
